It is always so nice to get together just for a social. The weather was grand, the food was great , and the company was very good. We had a really good turn out, and all of us were pleased to see Ken and Dante arrive to join us. The annual Picnic at Marymoor is one of our 5 Social events of the year. the Count, Jan., Judge’s dinner, Mar., Awards Banquet, July, Picnic, Aug., Judge’s dinner and Dec., Xmas Party. Which only leaves us 4 [we don’t meet in August] months with meetings to run the Club. I would like to see the number of people turning out for meetings as we get at our socials! [of course the promise of food always is the winner]
The August Show is fast coming upon us! We meet the Wednesday evening of the 21st to map out the ring placements at the show site. Anyone wanting to help and can read a measuring tape is welcome. Friday and Saturday are the Specialty Club days, with the majority of the Clubs doing the Saturday. All 16 rings are set up for this. Sunday we cut down the number of rings to be used. Those of you who stew-ard, have you contacted Sandee to volunteer? The premium for the Show is up on Barayevents calendar. As Bo has noted we have a theme this year. “Fire up the Grill”. The Trophies for the Show all reflect the theme. We have heard from the Irish Setter Club that they are follow-ing through on our theme for their Specialty 2 days. Should be fun.
The All Terrier Club is holding a CGC on Saturday, if any of you would like to get a certificate on your dog.
Over in fields 7,8,9. the West. Wash Hd Assoc. is holding the Annual Agility Trial. There has been some talk of doing a CAT on Thursday.
Inside are some pictures taken at the picnic. As mentioned, Michelle’s Neffie puppy was the “hit” of the day. Got lots of hugs and pats, good socialization for him. Be sure and get your order into Ellen for our new polo shirts. Want them in time for the Show.
Till next time,
