Vice President Rusty Kingery called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. In attendance: Rusty and Dave Kingery, Cliff Hewitt, Barbara O’Neill, Dee Carlson, Michelle Brown, Bo Gloster, Geri Orta and Sandee Isaacson. The board minutes were read by Michelle Brown. Barbara O’Niell moved to accept the minutes. It was seconded and passed unanimously,
Vice President’s report: Rusty Kingery reported that the Western Washington Hound Association is not doing a B match this year. The AKC will have a Breed Seminar held at the WWHA show in August and they will use that as a Compliance event. Rusty asked if the Sam was interested in putting on a B Match anyway . The club agreed.
Secretary’s report: none.
Treasurers report: Jan Leikam reported that the club is still currently down in monies from the last show. She is still working on getting our funds up to date. She will have a more thorough report soon.
AKC Delegate report:
Bo Gloster brought up the question of if we should split the Judges’s fees with the Specialty Clubs and if so for what amount. Bo moved that we reimburse the Belgian Turv club 50% or $300, whichever is less, of the airfare of Mr. Sorenson. Dee Carlson and Barbara O’Neill seconded. It was passed with 1 opposed.
January 2010 show: Jan Leikam reported that the Golden Steer will no longer be our judge’s dinner site. It will probably switch to Mitzel’s in Kent to Cater. The show is progressing otherwise and the premium lists are in. They will be mailed by the end of the month.

The Constitution Article IV was read by Michelle Brown which states how to make an additional nomination from the floor.
Cliff Hewitt reported he is working on getting the judges slate submitted to the AKC. Cliff reports the Sammamish Club will work with all the Specialty Club in regards to judge assignments and take and solicit their input, but the Show Chair and Judge's selection committee are the final authority on Judge selections. He still needs a grounds chairperson.
Unfinished Business: Jan Leikam moved to set the Christmas party for December 9th at 6:00pm at the Crab Cracker in Kirkland. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
Bo Gloster talked about the AKC group realignment and explained the Grand Champion title. The AKC will review these two issues again in March.
New Business: Dee Carlson discussed agility.
Next Board and General Meeting: There will be a board meeting at 7:00pm and a general meeting at 7:30pm on November 11th, 2009 at the Rose Hill Fire Station in Kirkland.
